How to activate a mana ability like Speed Mine

What mana abilities are

Some skills have an active ability that costs mana. Mining's is Speed Mine. Mana regenerates over time, and your maximum is tied to your Wisdom stat. Abilities unlock as you level the skill, and you can check the unlock level in that skill's page under /skills.

Steps to use one

1. Reach the level where the mana ability unlocks. Look at the skill's entry in /skills to confirm.

2. Hold the matching tool. For Mining this is a pickaxe, and other skills use their own tools.

3. Right-click with the tool in your hand to "ready" it. You should see a message that the tool is ready.

4. Break a block or perform the action. The ability activates if you have enough mana.

5. A cooldown follows before you can use it again.

If it doesn't work

• Not enough mana: the message will tell you.

• Nothing happens when right-clicking: the ability may not be unlocked yet, or the server may have disabled it or changed the activation method.
• Using the wrong tool: each ability only works with its own tool type.

Check your current mana on the action bar, and ask a server admin whether mana abilities are enabled if you never see the ready message.
