Optimize Performance While Using Atherial Shaders

Check Your Video Settings

Atherial is designed to be lightweight, but performance depends on your hardware. Go to Options → Video Settings and ensure your render distance is reasonable for your system. Start with 12–16 chunks if you experience lag.

Disable Heavy Features

In Shader Options, look for toggles related to advanced lighting, shadows, or reflections. Disabling these features can significantly improve frame rates while keeping Atherial's vibrant colors intact. The mod prioritizes visual simplicity, so you won't lose much visual quality.

Reduce Particle Effects

If available in shader settings, lower particle density or disable enhanced water/weather effects. These can strain performance on lower-end systems.

Monitor Frame Rate

Use F3 (or your debug screen) to watch your FPS while playing. If it dips below your target, reduce render distance first, then disable shader features. Atherial's design means you can maintain good visuals even with modest settings adjustments.
