Make Water and Reflections Look Better

Access Water Settings

Open Shader Options and find water-related toggles. Atherial includes settings for water clarity, reflection intensity, and wave effects that enhance the fantasy aesthetic.

Enable Reflections

If your shader options include a reflection or water detail setting, enable it to see the vibrant sky and landscape reflected in oceans, lakes, and rivers. This creates a more immersive magical atmosphere. Disable it only if performance becomes an issue.

Adjust Water Transparency

Some shader packs let you control how transparent water appears. Atherial's colorful lighting works best when water shows both the underwater terrain and the reflected sky. Experiment with transparency settings to find a balance that looks good in your world.

Test in Different Biomes

Water appearance varies by biome and time of day. Visit oceans, rivers, and swamps to see how your settings affect each environment. Adjust if certain water areas look too murky or overly transparent.
