Enhancing Sunset Colors Without Oversaturation
Access Color Settings
Press Right Shift + R and navigate to Sky, Lighting, or Color Correction tabs.
Adjust Sunset Parameters
Find controls for:
- Sunset Saturation – Increases magenta and purple richness
- Horizon Color Intensity – Brightens the colored band at the horizon
- Sky Gradient – Affects how colors transition from horizon to zenith
- Color Temperature – Warmer values enhance reds and magentas; cooler values shift toward purples
Balance Visibility and Aesthetics
Increase saturation gradually—too much can make the sky look artificial and reduce visibility of distant terrain. The shader's default magenta sunset is already vivid, so small adjustments often suffice.
Test during actual sunset transitions (around dusk) rather than at fixed times. This lets you see how colors interact with the sun's position and your current biome lighting. Complementary Unbound's foundation ensures colors remain balanced across different lighting conditions.
