How to Attach and Drive an Animal Cart in Astikor Carts TFC
Animal carts are the workhorses of Astikor Carts TFC — they carry far more than a player can, but only when hitched to a mob. Getting the attachment right is the first thing every new owner gets wrong.
Hitching Your Animal
Craft the cart of your chosen wood type, then place it on the ground. You need a rideable or draft-capable animal nearby — in TFC worlds this typically means a horse, donkey, mule, or similar pack animal. Right-click the animal with the cart in hand, or right-click the cart while leading the animal, depending on your build. The animal should visually connect to the cart's shafts. If nothing happens, the animal is likely not a valid draft type — try a different species.
Driving It
Once hitched, right-click the animal to mount and steer it like normal. The cart follows behind and its inventory becomes accessible. Press your dismount key to get off; the cart stays attached. To detach, sneak-right-click the cart or the animal (whichever your version uses) — the animal is freed and the cart drops as an item.
Practical Tips
- Carts cannot reverse well; plan turns ahead.
- Uneven TFC terrain can flip or stall a cart — stick to paths and roads.
- Load cargo before long trips so you are not stopping mid-journey.
