Reduce Lag While Keeping Cartoon Style

Lower Shadow Quality

Open shader settings and find the Shadow section. Reduce shadow resolution or distance to improve frame rates while maintaining the soft shadow aesthetic. Lower settings still preserve the cartoon look without the performance cost.

Disable or Reduce Wave Effects

Locate leaf and grass animation settings. Disable wind effects on foliage or lower their intensity. This significantly reduces GPU load while keeping the colorful, stylized appearance intact.

Adjust Reflection Settings

Water reflections can be performance-heavy. Look for Water Reflection Quality and set it to low or medium. The water will still look clear and reflective, just with fewer details reflected.

Monitor Frame Rate

Make one change at a time and check your FPS counter. This helps you identify which settings impact your performance most. You can often disable just one feature (like reflections) and keep everything else for a good balance between looks and speed.
