Arrow Bundles Data Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I craft arrow bundles?
Open a crafting table and fill the 3x3 grid with 3 flint, 3 sticks and 3 feathers. Lay them out like the normal arrow recipe, but 3 across: a row of flint, a row of sticks and a row of feathers. The result is 20 arrows in one craft.
What's the difference between the normal arrow recipe and the bundle recipe?
The normal recipe uses one flint, one stick and one feather. The bundle recipe uses three of each, spread across the whole grid, and gives 20 arrows instead of the normal amount. It is a separate recipe, so the vanilla one still works.
Which items do I need for the arrow bundle recipe?
Only 3 flint, 3 sticks and 3 feathers. No other ingredients are involved. Flint comes from gravel, sticks from planks, and feathers from chickens.
Does the arrow bundle recipe need a crafting table?
Yes. It uses all 9 slots of the grid, so it won't fit in the 2x2 inventory crafting grid. Use a crafting table.
The arrow bundle recipe isn't working. What am I doing wrong?
First check the layout. You need a full row of flint, a full row of sticks and a full row of feathers, with 3 items in each row. If you put them in a single column, you will get the normal arrow recipe instead. Then make sure the data pack is enabled in your world with /datapack list. If you just added it, run /reload.
How do I check that the Arrow Bundles Data Pack is active?
Run /datapack list in your world and look for the pack under the enabled data packs. If it is only listed as available, enable it with /datapack enable, or run /reload after adding it to the world's datapacks folder.
Can I shift-click to craft lots of arrow bundles at once?
Shift-clicking the result slot should craft repeatedly for as long as you have materials, as with other recipes. To make many bundles, stack up flint, sticks and feathers first. Each craft uses 3 of each and gives 20 arrows.
Does the recipe show up in the recipe book?
Don't count on it. If you can't find it there, put the ingredients in the grid by hand as described above. The recipe works the same either way.
Does this data pack work on multiplayer servers?
Data packs run on the server side, so the pack needs to be enabled in the server world's datapacks folder. Players should not need to install anything extra. After adding it, reload or restart the server.
Will the Arrow Bundles Data Pack cause lag or conflict with other mods?
It only adds one crafting recipe, so it should have no noticeable effect on performance. A conflict could only come from another pack that uses the same ingredient layout for a different result. If one does, the load order decides which recipe you get.
