Fixing Common Armor Stand Arms Problems
The Command Does Nothing
- Too far away: The three-block range is the most common cause. Step right next to the stand.
- Wrong stand: The command targets the nearest stand, so clear other stands out of range or stand beside the correct one.
- Trigger disabled: On servers, the trigger may be locked behind a permission or scoreboard check. Ask an admin.
- Typo: The command is
/trigger armorstandarmswith no spaces or capital letters. A single wrong character makes it fail silently.
Arms Appear but Items Will Not Attach
Make sure you are using the item on the stand rather than dropping it. If the stand is protected by a plugin, item placement may be blocked even though the arms render. Try a different stand in an unprotected area to confirm.
Arms Disappear After a While
Some servers or plugins reset armor stands, or a chunk unload can revert unarmed stands. Re-run the trigger to restore arms. If it keeps happening, report it to the server admin so they can check for a conflicting plugin.
Visual Glitches
If arms look detached or items float, another mod may be altering armor stand rendering. Remove client-side stand mods one at a time to find the conflict. In most cases the server-side arms render correctly for vanilla clients, so a glitch usually points to a client mod.
