How to Pose Armor Stands for Statues, Shops, and Decorations
Plan the Pose Before You Start
Decide what the stand represents — a knight mid-swing, a sitting villager, a shop mannequin. Knowing the target pose makes the rotation controls much faster to use, since you can adjust one body part at a time toward a goal instead of fiddling randomly.
Build the Pose Step by Step
Shift-click the stand to open the Armor Poser GUI. Work from the core outward:
1. Set the body tilt first, since it anchors everything else.
2. Rotate the head to face the direction you want.
3. Pose the arms — enable arms first if the stand does not have them.
4. Adjust the legs for sitting, walking, or standing stances.
The stand updates live, so check the silhouette from a few angles by closing the GUI and walking around it.
Dress and Detail
Add armor and hand items through the GUI slots. For shop displays, put the featured item in the main hand and pose the arm forward as if presenting it. For statues, hide the base plate and enable arms so the figure reads as a person rather than a stand.
Common Build Uses
- Shop mannequins: arms forward, item in hand, base plate hidden.
- Statues: dramatic body tilt, head turned, weapon raised.
- Scenes: several stands posed together to tell a story.
Reopen the GUI any time to tweak a pose — nothing is locked in.
