How to Customize Entry and Exit Messages and Colors
Editing Messages on the Sign
Right-click your area sign to reopen the edit screen. Beyond the name and radius, there are fields for the entry message and the exit message. Whatever you type here replaces the default "entered [name]" text. You can use color codes in these fields to tint the text — the standard Minecraft section-sign color codes work, so prefix a letter with the section symbol to change its color. This lets you make, for example, a red warning when entering a dangerous zone.
Choosing HUD or Chat
In the mod's config file you can switch whether notifications render as an on-screen HUD overlay or as chat lines. HUD is better for immersion since it fades on its own; chat is better if you want a scrollback record of who entered when. Pick one globally — it applies to all areas.
Prefixes and Suffixes
If you want every message from a
particular area to share a tag, set a prefix or suffix in the same edit screen. A prefix like a faction tag will appear before the area name in every notification. This is handy on servers where multiple towns want their own branding. Test by walking in and out after each change to confirm the formatting looks right before relying on it.
