Arcle S Medieval Containers Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need OptiFine to use this pack?
OptiFine is the recommended way to display all custom 3D models and glowing effects properly. If you don't use OptiFine, you'll need to install additional custom entity mods to see the new shapes; without either, blocks will appear invisible or broken.
Why do my custom blocks look flat or blocky?
This means OptiFine or your custom entity mods aren't loading the resource pack's 3D models. Check that OptiFine is installed and enabled, or verify your custom entity mod setup is correct in your mod folder.
Can I use this pack with other resource packs?
Yes, but load Arcle's Medieval Containers higher in your resource pack list than other packs so its textures take priority. If another pack also modifies the same blocks, whichever is loaded first will be overridden.
Do the custom models change how crafting works?
No—all recipes and functionality remain identical to vanilla. The pack only changes the appearance of blocks; a medieval smithing table works exactly like a normal one.
Why is my furnace not glowing when it's lit?
The glowing fire effect requires OptiFine's emissive texture support or a compatible custom entity mod. If you're using OptiFine, make sure you're on a recent version and that emissive textures are enabled in your video settings.
Which blocks does this pack actually change?
It reskins workstations (crafting table, smithing table, fletching table, cartography table, stonecutter, enchanting table), storage (chests, barrels, cauldron), processing (furnace, smoker, blast furnace,
brewing stand), and redstone parts (levers, buttons, dispensers, droppers, hoppers, beacon, composter).
brewing stand), and redstone parts (levers, buttons, dispensers, droppers, hoppers, beacon, composter). Will this pack work on a multiplayer server?
Yes—resource packs are client-side only, so you can use it on any server without the server installing anything. Other players won't see your custom models unless they also install the pack.
Does this pack work with Sodium or other performance mods?
Sodium alone won't display the custom 3D models; you need OptiFine or custom entity mods alongside it. Some players report using Sodium with OptiFine's shader features, but compatibility varies by mod version.
Can I use this in a modded world with other mods?
Yes, as long as those mods don't add their own custom models for the same blocks. If another mod changes a block's appearance, whichever resource pack loads first will take priority.
How do I know if the pack is working correctly?
Open a crafting table, furnace, or chest in your world—if you see detailed 3D models and textures instead of flat vanilla blocks, the pack is loaded correctly. Lit furnaces should also show glowing fire effects.
