Understanding What Arboria Does and Doesn't Change

What Arboria Enhances

Arboria is a visual and aesthetic enhancement pack. It improves the appearance of existing biomes by adding:

  • Better-designed trees with improved aesthetics
  • New lakes, ponds, and water features
  • Boulders, rocks, and stone formations
  • Mixed ground blocks for natural terrain variation
  • Tiny islands in ocean biomes
  • Biome-specific decorative features

What Remains Unchanged

Crucially, Arboria preserves vanilla Minecraft's biome mechanics:

  • Tree distribution: Acacia trees still only spawn in savannas; spruce only in cold biomes. Arboria doesn't move tree types between biomes.
  • Flora and plants: Flower and plant spawn rules remain identical. Blue orchids still require swamps; sunflowers only appear in sunflower plains.
  • Biome layout: The world map and biome borders are unaffected.
  • Terrain shape: Mountain height, valley depth, and overall topography stay the same.
  • Colors: Grass color, water color, and sky color per biome remain vanilla.

Practical Implication

You can safely use Arboria with other mods and datapacks without compatibility concerns. It's purely decorative and won't interfere with farming, building, or navigation.
