Finding and Exploring New Biome Features

Locating Enhanced Biomes

Arboria adds visual variety to existing biomes without changing their spawn locations. Biomes generate in the same places as vanilla Minecraft, so travel to your target biome normally—mountains, forests, deserts, and swamps will all contain new features.

What to Look For

Once you arrive at a biome, explore on foot to discover Arboria's enhancements:

  • Trees: Look for improved tree designs with better branch structure and foliage density. These replace vanilla trees but only in their native biomes (acacia in savanna, spruce in taiga, etc.).
  • Water features: Search for new lakes and ponds scattered throughout most biomes. These are purely aesthetic and don't affect biome classification.
  • Ground variation: Examine the terrain closely—you'll notice mixed blocks like coarse dirt alongside grass, creating natural-looking patches.
  • Boulders and rocks: Scan hillsides and open areas for occasional stone formations.
  • Ocean islands: If exploring oceans, watch for tiny islands that add visual interest to water expanses.

Biome-Specific Details

Each biome receives unique enhancements. Swamps might feature different tree styles than forests. Spend time in different environments to appreciate the full range of improvements Arboria provides.
