How to Choose Between Bookshelf Types for Your Enchanting Stats
The Three Stats Matter More Than Tier
Every Apothic bookshelf contributes to Eterna, Quanta, and Arcana. Higher-tier shelves aren't strictly better — they're specialized. A Deepshelf might give strong Eterna but low Quanta, while a Hellshelf favors Quanta. Your goal is to hit the stat thresholds you need, not to stack the rarest shelf everywhere.
Reading Shelf Tooltips
Hover over any shelf in your inventory to see its exact stat contributions. Note the numbers before placing anything. This is the single most important habit for building an efficient setup.
Common Shelf Roles
- Deepshelf family (Deepshelf, Echoing Deepshelf, Soul-Touched Deepshelf): strong Eterna, good for raising max enchantment levels.
- Hellshelf family (Hellshelf, Blazing Hellshelf, Glowing Hellshelf): Quanta-focused, boosting high-tier and bonus enchantment chances.
- Seashelf family (Seashelf, Crystalline Seashelf, Heart-Forged Seashelf): balanced or Arcana-leaning, useful for multi-enchantment rolls.
- Endshelf family (Endshelf, Draconic Endshelf, Pearlescent Endshelf): endgame shelves with high stats across the board.
Building a Balanced Ring
Aim for a mix. If your Eterna is capped but Quanta is low, swap a Deepshelf for a Hellshelf. Iterate until your preview rolls look right.
