How to Understand Potion and Effect Tooltips in Apothic Attributes

Apothic Attributes rewrites potion and effect tooltips so effects that are not simple stat modifiers actually explain themselves. If you have ever hovered an effect and seen only a vague name, this is the fix.

What Changed

Effects that apply complex behavior — things that are not just "+X to a stat" — now show a clear description of what they do. Simple stat modifiers still display their numeric change, but the mod makes sure the description matches the real mechanic rather than a generic line.

How to Use It

Hover any potion, tipped arrow, or active effect icon and read the tooltip carefully before drinking or applying it. The description tells you whether the effect is a flat bonus, a percentage, or a conditional trigger. This matters when combining effects, because two effects that look similar may stack differently.

If an effect's numbers look off in combat, cross-check the Attributes GUI: the tooltip explains intent, while the GUI shows the actual value applied to your player. Use both together when debugging a build, and remember that some effects only apply under conditions the tooltip will now spell out.
