Upgrade Enchanted Items Beyond the Normal Limit

Understanding Anvil Upgrade Limits

In vanilla Minecraft, items can only be upgraded through an anvil a limited number of times before becoming "too expensive." This mod removes the text warning, but the actual upgrade capability depends on your world settings.

Steps to Maximize Your Upgrades

1. Combine your enchanted item with another enchanted book or item in the anvil

2. Watch the experience cost in the anvil interface

3. With the mod, you won't see a "Too Expensive" rejection—instead, the anvil will either accept or reject based on server rules

4. If the upgrade fails silently, your server likely has vanilla limits enabled

Enabling Unlimited Upgrades

To actually perform upgrades beyond the normal limit, your server administrator must configure the server to allow it. The mod itself only hides the message—it doesn't bypass server-side restrictions.

If you're playing single-player and want unlimited upgrades, you may need additional mods that modify anvil mechanics, as this mod only removes the visual warning.
