AntiGhost Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I use AntiGhost to get rid of ghost blocks?
Press the AntiGhost refresh keybind (default is G) while standing near the ghost blocks. The mod sends a request to the server asking it to resend the blocks around you, which replaces the desynced client-side blocks with the real ones.
What is the default keybind for AntiGhost?
The default refresh key is G. You can change it in your controls settings under the AntiGhost keybind category if it conflicts with another mod or your own preferences.
Does AntiGhost work on multiplayer servers?
Yes, it works on any server because it only sends a standard block-resend request that vanilla clients can also trigger. It does not require server-side installation and won't get you banned on most servers.
Why isn't AntiGhost fixing my ghost blocks?
Make sure you're standing close enough to the affected blocks, since the mod only refreshes blocks within a certain radius around the player. If the blocks are still wrong after refreshing, the issue is likely server-side lag or an actual block change, not a client desync.
Does AntiGhost refresh blocks automatically or do I have to press the key?
It refreshes on demand when you press the keybind, not automatically. This is intentional so you don't spam the server with block requests, which could cause lag or kick you for packet spam.
Can AntiGhost cause lag or get me kicked from a server?
Spamming the refresh key sends many block requests to the server, which can cause lag or trigger anti-spam kicks. Press it only when you actually see ghost blocks, and avoid holding or repeatedly tapping the key.
What's the difference between AntiGhost and just re-logging?
Re-logging reloads everything and takes time, while AntiGhost refreshes only the blocks around you instantly without disconnecting. It's much faster for fixing a few desynced blocks during normal play.
Does AntiGhost work in singleplayer?
Yes, it works in singleplayer too, though ghost blocks are less common there. It can still help if you experience desync from lag, chunk loading issues, or other mods interfering with block updates.
Will AntiGhost fix invisible blocks or blocks I can walk through?
Yes, that's exactly what it's for. Invisible or walk-through blocks are client-side desyncs, and refreshing them with AntiGhost replaces the fake client state with the server's real block data.
Is AntiGhost compatible with other mods like OptiFine or performance mods?
AntiGhost is a lightweight client-side mod and generally works alongside rendering and performance mods without conflicts. If the keybind clashes with another mod, just rebind it in your controls settings.
