How to Sit on Chairs and Stools in Another Furniture

Placing and Using Seats

Another Furniture adds chairs, stools, tall stools, benches, and sofas that you can actually sit on. To use one, place the block on the ground like any other furniture piece, then right-click it. Your player will snap into a seated position. Right-click again (or press your sneak key) to stand back up.

Chairs and stools seat a single player. Benches and sofas are wider and can hold multiple players at once, so they work well around a shared table. The mod registers a Seat entity that handles the sitting logic, which is why you can dismount cleanly without getting stuck.

Practical Tips

  • Orient the block before placing it so the seat faces the direction you want; you can rotate most pieces with a wrench-like interaction or by placing them from different angles.
  • If a seat won't let you sit, check that nothing is occupying the space above it.
  • Combine a table with matching chairs or stools for a dining set, or line benches along a wall for a waiting area.
  • Sofas pair naturally with a lamp and a curtain to make a cozy living room corner.

Sitting is purely cosmetic and safe — you won't take fall damage or get pushed out by most mobs, though a mob standing in the same block can dismount you.
