Animate mobs, armor, chests and beds
Animatica applies pack animations to entity-style textures too: mobs, worn armor, and special blocks like chests and beds. These textures work like other animated ones, because the pack defines which texture gets overwritten and how.
What to do
1. Enable a pack that includes animated mobs, armor or block entities, and put it at the top of the list.
2. Reload with F3 + T.
3. Find a mob the pack covers, such as a sheep in a grassy biome, and watch its skin.
4. Equip armor and look at it in third person (F5) or in the inventory preview.
5. Place a chest or bed and look at its surface.
Troubleshooting
- Only some mobs animate. The pack author chooses which entities to animate, so check the pack's description or files.
- Armor doesn't move. The pack needs animation entries for the armor layer textures, and a higher pack must not replace those textures.
- A chest or bed looks static. Some packs animate only certain variants, such as one color of bed.
- Other visual mods conflict. Mods that change entity rendering can bypass the animated textures. Test with only Animatica and the pack to isolate the problem.
Animatica handles animation only. Custom entity models and random mob textures from a pack are outside what it does.
