Do I need to do anything after installing the pack or does it just work?
The pack works automatically once installed—just load a world and your furnaces will display the new animations. Make sure the pack is enabled in your resource pack list and positioned above any conflicting packs.
Will the animations play while my furnace is smelting?
Yes, the furnace animations play whenever the furnace is actively smelting items. You'll see the updated animation stages as the smelting process runs.
Does this pack change how furnaces work or just how they look?
This pack is purely visual—it only changes the appearance and animations of furnaces, smokers, and blast furnaces. Smelting speed, recipes, and mechanics remain unchanged.
What's different about the smoker animation?
The smoker now has one additional animation stage compared to vanilla, making the smoking effect smoother and more detailed.
What's different about the blast furnace animation?
The blast furnace has two additional animation stages and a unique bottom texture, creating a more dynamic and visually distinct smelting process.
Will this pack work with other resource packs?
Yes, but you need to order your resource packs carefully—place Animated Furnaces above any other packs that modify furnace textures so it takes priority. If conflicts occur, the topmost pack in your list will be used.
Does this pack affect performance or FPS?
The additional animation frames have minimal impact on performance since they're just texture changes. Most players won't notice any FPS difference, but if you're on very low-end hardware, disabling animations in your video settings may help.
Can I use this pack in multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use this pack on any server without needing server permission or installation.
Do the corner fixes on furnaces affect how they connect to other blocks?
