Flight Mechanics with Dragon Elytra

The animated dragon wings replace your elytra visually and functionally. All standard elytra flight behavior remains unchanged—only the appearance and animations are different.

How to Fly with Dragon Wings

1. Equip the elytra — Place the dragon elytra in your chest armor slot.

2. Reach a high point — Climb a tall structure, mountain, or use creative mode to fly upward.

3. Jump and deploy — Jump off the edge and press space (or your jump key) mid-air to deploy the wings. You'll begin gliding.

4. Control your descent — Use WASD to steer. Look upward to slow your fall; look downward to dive and gain speed.

5. Watch the animations — As you glide, the dragon wings will flap dynamically. The animation responds to your flight angle and speed.

6. Land safely — Aim for flat ground and reduce speed by looking up. You'll touch down smoothly without taking fall damage while wearing elytra.

The wings animate realistically throughout the entire flight, giving you a true dragon experience.
