Wiring Iron Double Doors So Only One Side Needs Redstone

Why This Matters

With vanilla iron doors you normally have to power each half separately. The Animated Doors Mod changes that: once two iron doors are linked as a pair, a single redstone signal to either half opens both, and cutting the signal closes both. This saves you a repeater, a redstone line, or a second pressure plate.

Building the Circuit

1. Place two iron doors side by side in the doorway so the mod links them.

2. Run your redstone source — a button, lever, pressure plate, or redstone dust line — to just one of the two doors.

3. Power it. Both doors should animate open together.

4. Remove the signal. Both should animate closed.

You can also use a redstone block, observer pulse, or a powered rail-adjacent signal; the mod listens for the block state change on either door and mirrors it. If only one door opens, the pair is not linked — check that both are iron and placed in the same orientation. Buttons and pressure plates work identically to levers here.
