What does the Animal Pens Mod do?
It lets you store land animals in pens, aquatic animals in aquariums, and birds in aviaries to reduce lag from large farms. Animals stay interactive, so you can still breed, shear, milk, and collect drops from them.
What items and blocks does Animal Pens add?
It registers 26 items and blocks, including the 
animal cage, animal pen variants for each wood type, the 
aquarium, 
aquatic jar, 
avian net, and aviaries made of copper, iron, and gold. Copper aviaries come in exposed, weathered, oxidized, and waxed versions.

Can you still breed, shear, and milk animals in Animal Pens?
Yes. Feeding animals inside a pen acts as breeding, and you can shear sheep, milk cows, mooshrooms, and goats, and collect drops like normal.
How do you capture animals in Animal Pens?
Use the Animal Cage to capture land animals and the Animal Container to capture water creatures. The cage saves the animal's variant when you pick it up.

Does Animal Pens have a config file?
Yes, settings are in config/animal_pen_config.json. Options include attack cooldown, animal and aquarium mob size, whether mobs can grow, and aviary mob size and growth.
