Avoid Angering Wild Gorillas

Know Territorial Behavior

Wild male silverbacks are highly territorial. They fight each other for dominance and will attack any player or mob that ventures too close to their group. Approach with caution.

Use Stealth to Your Advantage

Stand completely still or sneak while walking near wild gorillas. Stationary or slow-moving players are ignored by territorial males. This lets you observe them safely or move through their territory without conflict.

Don't Run or Sprint

Sudden movements trigger aggression. If you need to pass through gorilla territory, walk slowly and deliberately. Sprinting or jumping will alert the silverback and provoke an attack.

Tame to Remove Threat

Once you've fed a gorilla, it becomes friendly and stops attacking. This is the only way to safely coexist with territorial males in the same area. Consider taming key individuals if you plan to build or explore near their groups.
