Animal Garden Lion Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Where do I find lions?
Lions spawn naturally in savanna biomes, so explore any savanna you find in your world. You can increase their spawn rate in the mod's configuration settings if you want to find them more easily.
How do I tame a lion?
Hold any food item in your hand and feed it to a wild lion repeatedly—each food item has a small chance to tame it. Keep feeding until the lion becomes your pet and starts following you.
Can I breed my tamed lions?
Yes, place a male and female tamed lion together and they will breed, producing a baby lion without a mane. Baby lions will follow the adults around until they grow up.
What's the difference between male and female lions?
Male lions have manes and come in fifteen different body colors, while females have no mane and come in five colors. Females will naturally follow male lions in your pride.
How do I control what my tamed lion does?
Interact with your tamed lion to cycle through three modes: wandering (explores on its own), resting (stays in one spot), and following (stays close to you).
Do wild lions attack me?
Untamed male lions will attack other mobs nearby for food, but they won't specifically target you—focus on taming them with food instead. Tamed lions are loyal and will help protect you.
What happens when a lion roars?
When a lion roars, all nearby mobs except other lions run away in fear, which is useful for protecting your base or clearing an area.
How do lions heal themselves?
Tamed lions will automatically eat meat and fish items off the ground to restore their health, so keep food nearby for your pride.
Can I find lions with different eye colors?
Yes, wild lions spawn with different eye color variants naturally in the world, and you can collect them to build a diverse pride.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
Large prides of lions can impact performance depending on your system, but you can adjust the spawn rate in the configuration settings to control how many lions appear in your world.
