Understanding the Low Poly Armor Appearance
How Armor Looks in Angular Essence
The Angular Essence Resource Pack transforms all armor sets into a clean geometric style. Each piece—helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots—uses simplified polygonal shapes instead of the default textured models. This applies to all armor types including leather, chain, iron, diamond, netherite, and gold variants.
Viewing Your Armor
To see how your armor appears:
1. Equip any armor piece to view it on your character model
2. Open your inventory to see armor pieces displayed with their new geometric appearance
3. Use an armor stand to display multiple pieces together and compare how different sets look
4. Check the item frame screenshots in the pack preview—these show how equipped gear appears in first and third-person views
Color and Material Distinction
Each armor type retains its material identity through color and shading. Diamond armor maintains its distinctive blue tones, iron keeps its metallic grey, and netherite remains dark and imposing. The simplified geometry makes armor easier to identify at a glance while maintaining visual distinction between material types.
The low poly style is consistent across all armor, so your protective gear will have a unified, cohesive appearance regardless of which set you're wearing.
