Angular Essence Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Why do my armor pieces look different after installing this pack?
Angular Essence replaces all armor models with low poly geometric versions. Each armor set maintains its original protection values and enchantments—only the visual appearance changes to sharp, simplified shapes.
How do I know what
potion I'm holding if the bottles all look similar?
The simplified
potion bottles use distinct geometric shapes and colors to differentiate types: regular potions, splash potions, and lingering potions each have recognizable silhouettes. Check your inventory tooltip by hovering over the item if you're unsure.

Yes, the redesigned bow and crossbow models show clear charging stages visually—the geometric design becomes more defined as you draw back, making it easy to see when you're ready to fire.
Does the shield still work the same way in combat?
The shield functions identically to vanilla—this pack only changes its appearance to show a clean low poly model in both resting and blocking poses. Your damage reduction and mechanics remain unchanged.
Why is my fire effect so different, and can I turn it off?
Angular Essence simplifies fire particles and ground flames to geometric shapes for cleaner visuals and better sightlines during combat. The fire effect is part of the pack's core style and cannot be toggled individually.
Do experience bottles and particles look completely different?
Yes, experience bottles and the particles they produce are redesigned as neat polygon shapes to match the pack's low poly aesthetic. The collection mechanic works the same way.
Will this pack work with other mods that add custom items?
Angular Essence only reskins vanilla items and blocks, so modded items will appear in their default style unless another resource pack covers them. There are no known conflicts with popular mods.
Does this pack affect my game performance?
The simplified geometric models and textures are generally lightweight, but performance depends on your hardware and other installed packs. The cleaner fire effects may actually improve visibility in intensive situations.
Why do some blocks look strange or incomplete?
Angular Essence intentionally simplifies block textures and shapes—grass, snow, cobwebs, and other environmental blocks use geometric designs that may look minimal compared to vanilla. This is the intended low poly style.
Can I use this pack with other resource packs at the same time?
Yes, you can stack multiple packs in your resource pack folder—load order matters, so place Angular Essence above or below other packs depending on which visuals you want to prioritize. Test different orders to find what works best for you.
