Locate and Find Ancient Villages in Your World

Using the Locate Command

The fastest way to find a settlement is with the /locate structure command. Open your chat and type:

`

/locate structure ancientvillages:military

`

Replace military with farming, factory, or shopping to find other town types. The command will show you the coordinates of the nearest settlement of that type.

Manual Exploration

If you prefer exploring without commands, head to a taiga biome and travel across it. Ancient Villages only generate in taiga biomes, so focus your search there. Look for clusters of Japanese-style buildings with dark wood, stone lanterns, and distinctive architecture.

Once you spot a settlement, walk toward it and look for NPCs standing around. These are the villagers who offer quests. Each town type has a different purpose—military towns have soldiers, farming towns have farmers, and so on—so the characters and quests you find will vary by settlement type.
