Ancient Relics Pack Model FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get the animated weapons to actually animate in my world?
Animations are enabled through your plugin configuration file—make sure the animation settings are set to active in your ItemsAdder or Oraxen config. If weapons appear static, verify that your server's resource pack is being accepted by players and that they haven't disabled custom models in their client settings.
Can I use these items with my custom loot tables?
Yes, you can add Ancient Relics items to any custom loot table by referencing their item IDs in your loot table JSON files. The mod includes documentation on the correct item ID format for each weapon and tool.
Do these weapons work with enchantments?
Ancient Relics weapons support standard Minecraft enchantments, though visual effects may vary depending on your resource pack settings. Test enchantments on a single item first to ensure they display correctly with the custom models.
What's the difference between using ItemsAdder and Oraxen for this pack?
Both plugins work with this pack, but ItemsAdder uses pre-made configuration files included in the download, while Oraxen requires drag-and-drop installation. Choose whichever plugin your server already uses—the items function identically.
Can I edit the weapon models myself?
Yes, the pack includes source .bbmodel files that you can open and modify in Blockbench. After editing, you'll need to re-export them and update your plugin configuration to use the modified models.
How do I give players the crate item?
Use the standard Minecraft give command with the crate's item ID, or add it to loot tables and shops like any other custom item. The crate functions as a decorative block or reward container depending on how you configure it.
Will this pack lag my server?
The pack itself is lightweight—performance depends on how many animated items are loaded at once and your server's resource allocation. Monitor server performance after adding the pack; if lag occurs, it's usually due to server-wide resource limits rather than the mod.
Do players need to download anything extra to see the items?
Players only need to accept your server's resource pack when they join—the Ancient Relics models are included in it automatically. If players see default textures instead, they've rejected the resource pack or it hasn't loaded properly on your server.
Can I use only some of the items from this pack?
Yes, you can selectively enable or disable items by editing your plugin configuration file and removing entries for items you don't want. This won't affect the remaining items or cause errors.
Are these items compatible with other custom item packs?
As long as you're not using conflicting item IDs, you can run multiple custom item packs together. Check your configuration files to ensure no two packs are trying to use the same item ID.
