How to Rebind Auto-Jump and Skin Layer Toggles with Amecs
Finding the Extra Bindings
Amecs adds keybindings that vanilla doesn't have: one for toggling auto-jump and ones for toggling individual skin layers (such as hat, jacket, sleeves, and so on). These live in the controls menu alongside everything else.
Rebinding Them
1. Open Options → Controls → Key Binds.
2. Use the search box and type auto to jump to the auto-jump toggle, or skin to list the skin-layer toggles.
3. Click the key field for the entry you want.
4. Press a plain key or a modifier combination (hold Shift/Ctrl/Alt, then tap the key).
5. Repeat for each skin layer you want on its own key.
Using Them In-Game
- Pressing the auto-jump binding flips the auto-jump setting without opening the options menu — handy mid-game.
- Each skin-layer binding toggles that layer's visibility on your player model, so you can hide, for example, just the hat while keeping the rest.
- Because these are ordinary bindings, they can share keys with other actions via modifiers, and they show up in the search results like any other control.
If a binding doesn't respond, check it isn't conflicting with another action bound to the identical key and modifier.
