Enhance Glow Effects on Light Sources

Enabling Bright Glow Effects

AlphaLook Shaders amplifies the visual impact of light-emitting blocks and sources. To activate glow effects:

1. Open Shader Options from Video Settings

2. Find the setting for glow, bloom, emissive, or bright effects

3. Toggle it to ON

Adjusting Glow Intensity

Once enabled, customize how bright and spread-out the glow appears:

  • Increase intensity to make light sources like lanterns, glowstone, and lamps shine more dramatically
  • Decrease intensity if the effect feels too washed out or overwhelming
  • Glow effects typically affect torches, lanterns, glowstone, sea lanterns, and other luminous blocks

Best Practices

Glow effects are most impactful in darker environments—caves, night scenes, and indoor builds benefit most. Try placing light sources strategically to create atmospheric lighting in your builds. The effect pairs well with light rays for maximum visual impact during twilight hours.
