AlphaLook Shaders FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on light rays?
Open the shader settings menu (usually accessed through your video settings), find the Light Rays option, and toggle it on. Light rays will then appear streaming from bright light sources like the sun and torches.
Where do I find the hand sway setting?
Go to your shader configuration menu and look for the Hand Sway or Animation section. Enable it to see your hand bob and sway naturally when you move.
How do I switch to Alpha graphics mode?
In the shader settings, locate the Style or Graphics Mode option and select the Alpha version setting. This will change the overall look of blocks and lighting to match early Minecraft Alpha.
Can I make the glow effects brighter?
Yes, most shader packs include a Glow Intensity or Bloom slider in the settings menu where you can increase or decrease how bright light sources and glowing blocks appear.
Do light rays work underwater?
Light rays typically work underwater as well, creating atmospheric light beams filtering down from the surface or from underwater light sources.
Will this shader pack work with other mods?
AlphaLook Shaders is generally compatible with most mods, but mods that heavily modify lighting or add custom blocks may cause visual conflicts—test in your world to be sure.
Why do I see no difference after enabling settings?
Make sure you're in a bright area with good lighting, as subtle effects like light rays are most visible in sunlight or near torches; also confirm the setting actually saved by checking the menu again.
Can I disable specific effects like glow but keep light rays?
Yes, each major effect (light rays, glow, hand sway, Alpha style) can usually be toggled independently in the shader settings menu.
Does this shader pack affect performance much?
AlphaLook Shaders is designed to be lightweight with vanilla-style visuals, but enabling all effects together may impact FPS on lower-end systems—try disabling hand sway or reducing glow intensity if you experience lag.
Do I need to restart my game after changing shader settings?
Most settings take effect immediately, but some changes may require you to reload your world or restart the game to display properly.
