How to Make Bronze, Brass, and Constantan Alloys

Alloy Basics

All The Ores provides dusts, ingots, and blocks for several alloys: bronze, brass, and constantan. Alloys are made by combining two or more base metals, either as ingots in a crafting grid or as dusts in a mixing machine. The dust route is usually more efficient because it lets you control ratios precisely.

Bronze and Brass

Bronze is traditionally copper combined with tin. Brass is copper combined with zinc. If your pack includes tin and zinc ores from All The Ores or another mod, smelt them into ingots first, then combine. Use your recipe viewer to confirm the exact ratio your pack uses — some packs use a 3:1 copper-to-alloying-metal ratio, others differ. Mixing dusts in a crafting grid and then smelting the result is a reliable fallback if you lack a mixer.

Constantan

Constantan is typically copper plus nickel. Nickel may come from All The Ores itself or from another mod in the pack. Once you have constantan ingots, you can craft them into blocks, plates, gears, and rods just like any other metal. Constantan is commonly used in machine components and in some energy-related recipes, so stockpile it once you have a steady nickel supply.
