Make Hourly, Daily or Monthly Leaderboards
Timed leaderboards rank players by how much a value changed within a period instead of by its all-time total. This suits events like "top miner today" or "top balance gain this week".
Using a timed type
Timed boards use the same placeholders as normal boards, with a time period added to the placeholder. The available periods include hourly, daily, weekly and monthly, plus all-time. The usual form is:
%ajlb_lb_<board>_<position>_<timeperiod>_<type>%
For example, to show today's top player's name, use the board with position 1, the daily period and the name type.
Steps
1. Choose the board you already track, such as kills or playtime.
2. In your hologram, sign or scoreboard, add the placeholder with the time period in place of all-time.
3. Create separate lines or signs for each period. You can show daily and all-time boards side by side.
4. A brand-new timed board starts empty and fills as players earn points.
Notes
- Timed boards reset automatically at the end of each period, so tell players when the reset happens.
- If you also want to show a player's own rank, use the plugin's position-style placeholders, which return a player's place on a board.
- If a timed placeholder returns nothing, check the spelling of the time period and run
/ajlb helpfor available options.
