Create a Top Sign With Player Heads

Top signs show a leaderboard position in the world. They can display a player's head above the sign or on an armor stand, so players can see the rankings in your hub.

Placing a sign

1. Decide which board and which position the sign should show, for example first place on your kills board.

2. Stand where you want the sign and place a normal sign on a wall or the ground.

3. Use the plugin's sign-creation subcommand while looking at that sign. Run /ajlb help to see its exact name and arguments. You will normally give it the board and the position.

4. The sign text will fill in with the player's name and value for that rank.

Repeat for each position, changing only the rank number.

Heads and armor stands

  • If you place a block (such as a head spot) above the sign, the plugin can show the ranked player's head there.
  • Armor stands can also be used to show the player's head. Place them near the sign and link them to the same board and position, following the options in the plugin's help or config.

Customizing the look

Sign lines are fully customizable in the plugin's config. You can change the wording, colors and layout, and include prefixes or suffixes. Reload the plugin after editing (/ajlb reload) and the signs will update on the next refresh.

If a sign stays blank, check that the board has data and that you picked a valid position.
