Airraid Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get attacked by flying enemies?
Flying enemies spawn in three ways: roaming squadrons randomly ambush you while exploring, defensive aircraft launch from Pillager Outposts when you get close, and air support arrives during village raids starting from wave three. You can also use the /airraid spawn command to trigger encounters instantly.
What's the best way to defend against aerial attacks?
Stay mobile and use cover like trees or buildings to break line of sight from enemy pilots. Bring a bow or ranged weapon to shoot down aircraft before they can strafe you, and watch for falling bombs from above during raids.
Can I adjust how hard the mod is?
Yes, you can configure enemy spawn rates, ammunition capacity, and attack frequency through the mod settings. Use /airraid reload to apply changes without restarting.
What mobs can pilot aircraft in this mod?
Pillagers, Vindicators, and Witches are the hostile mobs that can fly planes, gyrodynes, and airships. Each mob type has different combat behaviors and abilities.
Do Pillager Outposts change with this mod?
Yes, outposts now spawn with parked aircraft sitting outside the base, and a defensive squadron launches into the air when you approach. This makes outposts significantly more dangerous.
How do I test different aircraft and weapons?
Use the /airraid spawn command with optional parameters to spawn enemy groups with specific vehicles and weapons, letting you practice against different aircraft types.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
Multiple flying entities with AI and weapons can impact performance depending on your hardware. Lower the spawn rate and enemy count in the config if you experience frame drops.
Does this mod work with other mods?
Airraid Mod extends Immersive Aircraft, so you need that mod installed. Compatibility with other mods depends on whether they conflict with mob behavior or aircraft systems.
What happens during a village raid now?
Village raids become much harder because starting from wave three, raiders call in air support that bombs and shoots from above. Defending villages requires dealing with both ground and aerial threats.
Can I turn off flying enemies in certain areas?
The mod doesn't have built-in region controls, but you can adjust spawn rates and disable specific encounter types through the configuration settings to reduce aerial threats in areas where you want peace.
