Aimz FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn the Aimz crosshair on after installing it?
Aimz is a resource pack, so it activates automatically once it sits at the top of your selected packs list in Options > Resource Packs. If you still see the vanilla crosshair, another pack above it is overriding the crosshair texture.
Why is my crosshair still the default one?
A resource pack loaded higher in the list is replacing the crosshair file, so drag Aimz above it. Also make sure you applied the pack rather than just moving it to the available side.
Does Aimz work in multiplayer and on servers?
Yes, it is client-side only, so it works on any server without the server needing it installed. Other players will not see your crosshair change.
Can I use Aimz together with other resource packs?
Yes, as long as Aimz is placed above any pack that also edits the crosshair. Packs that only change textures, sounds, or models will not conflict with it.
The tiny crosshair is hard to see on bright or busy backgrounds, what can I do?
Lower your in-game brightness slightly, or pair Aimz with a pack that darkens or outlines the crosshair. Turning off motion blur and reducing particles also helps the crosshair stand out.
Does Aimz improve my aim or give a competitive advantage?
It does not change hitboxes, reach, or any game mechanic. It only makes the crosshair smaller and less obstructive, which some players find easier to track targets with.
Will Aimz hurt my FPS or performance?
No, it only swaps a single small texture, so the performance impact is negligible. Any lag you see comes from other packs, shaders, or mods.
Can I change the size or color of the Aimz crosshair?
Not through a settings menu, since it is a texture pack. To resize or recolor it you would edit the crosshair image file inside the pack yourself.
Does Aimz work with shaders or OptiFine-style mods?
Yes, shaders and performance mods do not touch the crosshair texture, so Aimz keeps working alongside them. Just keep Aimz above any pack that also edits the crosshair.
How do I remove Aimz and get the normal crosshair back?
Open Options > Resource Packs and move Aimz from the selected side back to the available side, then confirm. The vanilla crosshair returns immediately with no restart needed.
