Set up auto-disconnect and automatic commands for the fishing bot
Two features make long AFK sessions easier on you and the server: auto-disconnect, and commands that run automatically after the bot connects.
Auto-disconnect
Auto-disconnect lets the bot leave the server on its own, which reduces server load. It is useful on servers where idle players cost resources, or where you only want the bot running for a set period. Enable it in the bot's settings. You can use the GUI, or pass the equivalent command-line arguments when you start the bot. Check the help output of your build to see the exact option names.
Commands after connecting
Many servers need a command before fishing can start, such as logging in or teleporting to your fishing spot. Add those commands to the bot's settings for after-connect execution.
1. Join the server manually once and write down the exact commands you normally type, in order.
2. Add them to the bot's after-connect command setting.
3. Start the bot and watch the console to confirm the commands ran and the bot reached its spot.
4. Run /level once fishing begins to confirm it works.
Tips
- Choose offline or online mode to match the server and your account.
- Combine this with Discord announcements to check on the bot without logging in.
- Use
/byewhen you want a clean manual shutdown.
