How to Link AE2 Wireless Terminals Across Dimensions with the Dimension Card

What the Dimension Card actually does

The Dimension Card is the item that lets a wireless AE2 terminal (or other wireless AE device) keep talking to its network even when you are in a different dimension from the ME Controller. Without it, your wireless terminal simply reports "out of range" or "device missing" the moment you step through a Nether portal or into the End.

Steps to link it

1. Craft or obtain the Dimension Card.

2. Open the wireless terminal's GUI (right-click the terminal, or open the wireless crafting terminal).

3. Insert the Dimension Card into the terminal's upgrade/slot area — the same area where you would normally put a Wireless Booster or Wireless Terminal card.

4. Return to your base and confirm the terminal still shows the network while you are standing next to the ME Controller.

5. Travel to another dimension and check the terminal again. It should now list your items instead of showing an empty or disconnected screen.

Things to check if it does not work

  • The ME network must still be chunk-loaded where the controller sits. If the chunks unload, the terminal loses the network regardless of the card.
  • The Dimension Card only extends the link across dimensions — it does not extend the normal wireless range inside a single dimension. For that you still need the Infinity Range Booster or regular Wireless Boosters.
  • Make sure the terminal itself is powered/charged if your setup requires it.
