How to Expand Crafting CPU with AE2 Extras Crafting Storage
Why Crafting Storage Matters
Crafting Storage blocks determine how large a single crafting job your ME network can handle. AE2 Extras adds tiers far above vanilla, so you can queue enormous recipes without splitting them into pieces.
Building a Bigger Crafting CPU
1. Craft the Crafting Storage tier you need (1m, 4m, 16m, or 64m).
2. Build a Crafting CPU multiblock: place a Crafting Unit, then attach Crafting Storage and any Co-Processing Units.
3. Connect the CPU to your ME network with ME Glass Cable or covered cable.
4. Open the Crafting CPU interface and confirm the storage size is recognized.
Sizing Your CPU
- Match storage to your largest recipe: if a job needs more bytes than your CPU has, it won't start.
- Add Co-Processing Units alongside storage to speed up parallel crafting.
- Keep a small CPU for quick jobs and a large one for bulk orders so you don't tie up capacity.
- Higher-tier Crafting Storage uses the matching ME Storage Component in its recipe, so plan components ahead.
