Combining Search Terms to Find an Advancement You Only Partly Remember

When you only recall a vague detail about an advancement, a single keyword often returns too many results. The mod's prefix system lets you target the exact field where your memory is strongest.

Pick the Right Field

Ask yourself what you actually remember:

  • The name? Use title: plus a word you're sure is in it.
  • The flavor text? Use description: plus a remembered phrase.
  • The picture? Use icon: plus the item name.

If you remember pieces of two different fields, run two searches rather than trying to combine them in one query, since each prefix targets a single field.

Refining Results

Start broad, then add words to your query until the grid shrinks to a manageable list. Remember the grid separates tasks, goals, and challenges, so you can ignore whole groups that don't match what you're after. When the right entry appears, click it to highlight it in the tree and confirm it's the one you meant. This trial-and-error approach is quick because each search updates the grid instantly.
