Getting Clean Advancement Screenshots Without Chat Spam
Why the shot looks cluttered
The mod captures whatever is on screen roughly one second after the advancement triggers. If you are mid-fight, in a crowded server lobby, or typing in chat, that clutter ends up in the image. You cannot change the trigger, but you can control what is on screen when it happens.
Practical habits
- Keep chat closed and your hand off the chat key when you expect an advancement. An open chat line or a half-typed message will be frozen into the picture.
- Hide the HUD if you want a clean landscape shot. Toggle it off before the moment you expect the advancement, since the capture uses your current HUD state.
- Avoid standing in particle-heavy effects or behind other players right as the advancement pops.
- If you are recording or streaming, remember the mod still fires independently of your capture software, so you will get a duplicate still image alongside your video.
Timing expectations
There is a short delay between the advancement and the capture, which is what lets the toast appear. Do not move the camera dramatically in that window or the shot will be a blur of motion. Hold still for a beat after you see the notification, then resume. On multiplayer servers this works the same way with the mod only on your client.
