Pressing the toggle key switches highlighting on and off without closing the game, so you can flip it off the moment you stop mining.

Using It on Servers Without Getting Banned

Many server operators consider XRay cheating, and some servers run anti-cheat or behavioural detection that flags it. Before using the mod on any multiplayer server, check the server's rules and ask an admin if you are unsure. Never assume it is allowed just because the mod runs. On singleplayer or on a private server where everyone has agreed to its use, there is no issue.

Good Habits

Keep the overlay off while fighting, building, or exploring so you are not distracted by highlights. Re-enable it only when you are actively searching for ores.
