Customize Sky and Cloud Appearance Across Dimensions
Open Dimension-Specific Settings
Access the shader menu and locate the Sky or Atmosphere section. Most shader packs organize settings by dimension: Overworld, Nether, and End.
Modify Cloud Properties
For volumetric clouds, you can typically adjust:
- Cloud Density: How thick and opaque clouds appear
- Cloud Height: The altitude at which clouds render
- Cloud Speed: How quickly clouds drift across the sky
- Cloud Color: Tint applied to clouds during different times of day
Customize Sky Gradients
Each dimension has its own sky gradient settings. Adjust the color transitions from horizon to zenith. The Nether sky can be made more ominous, while the End can be darkened or given a unique hue.
Preview Changes
Use the time-of-day slider in shader settings to preview how your customizations look at sunrise, noon, sunset, and night. Save configurations once satisfied. Return to the Overworld and visit different biomes to ensure skies look cohesive across varied terrain.
