Troubleshooting: Mod Not Improving TPS or Causing Issues

If Adaptive Performance Tweaks is not helping, or seems to be causing problems, work through these checks before assuming the mod is broken.

Mod Is Not Doing Anything

First, confirm the mod is loaded — check the server startup log for its name. Next, open the Core config and make sure the module is enabled and not set to a passive mode. Then enable Debug Mode and watch the console under load. If no tweaks fire even when TPS drops, your thresholds may be set too high for your server's typical load. Lower them gradually.

TPS Got Worse or Behavior Feels Erratic

Aggressive thresholds can cause the mod to flip settings back and forth, which hurts more than it helps. Raise thresholds so the mod only acts during genuine problems. If a specific module is the culprit, disable it and re-test — Core alone is often sufficient.

Conflicts With Other Mods

Because this mod avoids deep code injection, conflicts are rare, but two mods managing the same setting (for example, both adjusting spawn rates) can fight each other. Disable the overlapping module here or in the other mod. Check the log for warnings about settings being overridden.
