Find Unbreaking books and enchantments in survival

Unbreaking is only useful once you have it, and the mod does not change how you obtain the enchantment. Use the usual vanilla sources.

Ways to get it

• Enchanting table: Put a tool or armor piece in the table with lapis lazuli. Unbreaking is one of the enchantments that can appear. Higher bookshelf setups give you more and better options. You can't pick a specific enchantment, so you may have to retry.
• Enchant a book: Put a plain book in the table instead of gear. If Unbreaking comes up, you can keep the book and apply it to whatever you like through an anvil.
• Villager trading: Librarian villagers can sell enchanted books. Check their trades for Unbreaking, and reset the profession by breaking and replacing the lectern if it is not offered.
• Exploration: Enchanted books can turn up in loot chests and from fishing.

Applying what you find

1. Take the book to an anvil.

2. Place your gear on the left and the book on the right.

3. Take the result.

Tip

Save Unbreaking for items you use constantly, such as your main pickaxe, sword, armor and elytra-style gear. Anything that can take the enchantment can benefit.
