Abibliophobia Enchanted Books Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need OptiFine or CIT Resewn for this pack to work?
No—vanilla enchanted books work without any additional mods. OptiFine and CIT Resewn are only needed if you want custom textures for enchantments from mods like Sortilege or Deeper and Darker that don't have built-in texture support.
Why do some of my enchanted books still look the same?
Books with identical vanilla enchantments will share the same texture by design. If a book looks generic, check that your resource pack is actually loaded above any conflicting packs in your resource pack list.
How do I see Roman numerals instead of numbers on high-level enchantments?
The pack displays Roman numerals automatically for enchantment levels on item tooltips and in your inventory. Make sure you're viewing enchanted books in a version where this feature is included—check the pack description for version compatibility.
Can I use this with Farmer's Delight and other mod enchantments at the same time?
Yes—the pack includes dedicated textures for Farmer's Delight, Enderscape, Frostiful, and several other popular mods. Load the pack and those mods together, and the custom book designs will appear automatically.
What do I do if enchanted books from my favorite mod aren't textured?
If the mod uses CIT (Custom Item Textures), you can enable CIT Resewn or OptiFine to add support. Otherwise, contact the pack creator to request textures for that specific mod.
Do combined enchantments (like Sharpness + Knockback on one book) get their own texture?
Yes—the pack includes dedicated textures for books holding multiple enchantments together, so you can identify combined spellbooks at a glance in storage.
Will this pack slow down my game or affect performance?
No—this is a pure texture pack with no code changes, so it has no impact on performance or FPS.
Can I use colored enchantment names with this pack?
Yes—the pack offers optional colored enchantment names that work with configuration mods, letting you customize how spell names appear in your inventory.
Does this work with Dungeons and Taverns enchantments and datapacks?
Yes—the pack includes custom textures for Dungeons and Taverns enchantments, including support for the Bleeding Enchantment datapack.
What if I only want textures for vanilla enchantments, not mod content?
The vanilla enchantment textures are core to the pack and will always be active. You can disable mod-specific textures by removing the corresponding mod folders from the pack if your mod loader supports it, though this isn't officially documented.
