Looting Watchtower Chests Efficiently

Preparing for Exploration

Bring basic tools: a sword for cobwebs and mobs, a pickaxe for breaking through blocked passages, and torches to light your way. Watchtowers are dark inside, and mobs can spawn in shadowy corners. Wear armor appropriate to your progression level.

Navigating the Tower

Each watchtower contains up to seven different room types with randomized layouts. Start from the ground floor and work your way up, checking each room systematically. Stairs connect the levels, but they may be damaged or blocked by debris. Use your pickaxe to clear obstacles if needed.

Finding and Opening Chests

Loot chests spawn inside the ruins with random items. Open every chest you find—the contents vary each time. Some towers have multiple chests across different floors. If you find a room with beds (towers can have rooms with up to four beds), check nearby for additional loot. Take your time exploring; the randomized layouts mean you might miss areas on your first pass.
