Understanding the Red Figure

The Red Figure is an aggressive entity that spawns exclusively in tight underground tunnels and cave systems. It actively digs toward you while producing loud breaking sounds, making it one of the most terrifying encounters in confined spaces.

Survival Tactics

Listen for digging sounds. The Red Figure announces its presence with constant block-breaking audio. If you hear this underground, stop and assess your position immediately.

Move to open areas. The Red Figure thrives in narrow tunnels. Sprint toward larger caverns, mineshaft intersections, or open cave chambers where you have room to maneuver and escape.

Dig upward. If trapped in a tunnel, create a vertical shaft above you and climb out. The Red Figure's digging is directional—it pursues horizontally. Gaining elevation breaks its approach.

Avoid deep mining alone. Explore caves with multiple exits mapped beforehand. Never tunnel into unknown territory without an escape route.

Use water or lava strategically. Create barriers between yourself and the entity's approach vector. The Red Figure cannot phase through liquids.

Return to surface. If overwhelmed, sprint toward the surface. The Red Figure's threat diminishes in open Overworld biomes. Use this to reset and prepare for another encounter.
