How to check that the 6 Stairs Data Pack is active in your world
Data packs are applied per world. If your stairs still come out in batches of 4, first confirm the pack is loaded.
Check with commands
1. Open your world with cheats enabled, or as an operator on a server.
2. Run /datapack list.
3. Look for the pack in the enabled list. If it appears under available, run /datapack enable and pick it from the suggestions. Then run /reload.
4. Test it: put 6 blocks in the stair shape on a crafting table and check that the output is 6 stairs.
If it is not listed
- Make sure the pack is in the world's
datapacksfolder. On a server, that means the world folder the server is actually using. - Check that it is a pack folder or zip with its metadata file at the top level, not buried inside an extra folder.
- If you made the world before adding the pack, use
/reloador rejoin the world. - Other data packs that change the same stair recipes can override this one. Packs lower in the enabled list take priority, so try reordering them with
/datapack enable <pack> firstorlast.
